A sense of community drives our restaurant setting and menu ethos, a love of food and a passion for excellent hospitality is what we bring to the table.
We look forward to welcoming you to Barrows Keep.
Stephen McArdle, Chef Patron at Barrows Keep has found his ideal place to cook the food he’s always wanted to: locally sourced and with a strong identity.
Stephen was influenced throughout his life starting as a child at home about the importance of good quality food, abundant with flavor. This influence was re-enforced throughout his early career working with talented chefs in Belfast, Dublin and London.
His attention to the smallest details stemmed from his work in Michelin restaurants. His dream of creating his own plates in his own restaurants has led Stephen along the journey here, to his third restaurant, in Graiguenamanagh; Barrows Keep.
Locally sourced and as organic as possible, Stephen focuses on intensely flavored dishes of seasonality and all that this corner of the world has to offer.
Wine is integral to Barrows Keep. Morgan has been studying wine for numerous years; Certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Advanced certification with the WSET and is a Certified Sherry Educator, with a keen focus to further her education towards a Master level.
Morgan has a depth of experience working in the hospitality industry at all levels and is driven by passion for wine and excellent hospitality. The wine list at Barrows Keep is a reflection of her dedication to wine and what it brings to the dining experience.
‘Wine is a journey that can bring your palate to many places across the globe, there are very few things that can achieve that status. Wine, hand in hand with food, can take you on many adventures.”
Keep up to date with all the latest news from the restaurant.
